Assistant Controller and HR Administrator

: Description:

• Prepare monthly journal entries as part of month-end closing process including credit card reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and annual reconciliations for assigned Balance Sheet accounts. Identify and assist in correcting discrepancies.
• Process check runs within P21 ERP system for Account Payable. Process accounts payable invoices as needed.
• Work with accounts receivable staff to collect open receivables.
• Maintain accurate records of inventory, fixed assets, and other financial data.
• Assist in the preparation of various special reports as directed.
• Assist with external audit requests and provide information as requested.
• Perform and direct the entire processing of in-house payroll via Paylocity ensuring the timely and accurate computation and payment of earnings for company.
• Maintain employee payroll data within Paylocity software for new hires and employee updates as required.
• Facilitate the automated recruiting and onboarding process for new hires within Paylocity system.
• Work with department management to facilitate recruiting new employees.
• Work with Director of Finance in administration of company health benefits including interfacing with employees and benefits consultant.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of Accounting/Finance experience.
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Experience with Prophet 21 ERP software preferred but not required.
• Experience with in-house payroll processing. Paylocity experience a plus but not required.
• Knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
• Well organized, proactive, must be able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Ability to adhere to a high level of attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain open, direct, positive, and objective lines of communication with management and other employees.
• Ability to be self-directed in a team-oriented environment.
