Rental Equipment Coordinator
As a Rental Equipment Coordinator at Company Wrench, LTD., you will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our equipment rental and sales departments. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring effective coordination of equipment logistics within the yard, and handling the physical and administrative tasks necessary to support rental operations and sales activities. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who can manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and organization. Key Responsibilities: Equipment Coordination:
- Coordinate the movement of trucks for equipment delivery and pick-up within the yard.
- Maintain the organization of the yard to facilitate easy access and proper placement of equipment.
- Coordinate all incoming new equipment and prepare necessary receiving reports.
- Ensure outgoing equipment is accompanied by accurate delivery receipts.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with inquiries.
- Listen attentively to customers' requests and needs, providing accurate information and recommendations.
- Clearly explain rental procedures, pricing, and terms to customers.
- Provide demonstrations on equipment usage and offer guidance to enhance customer experience.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Efficiently process rental transactions, including completing paperwork and issuing rental agreements and receipts.
- Assist customers with making reservations for future rental needs, ensuring availability and scheduling pickups or deliveries as required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the rental counter area, ensuring it is well-stocked with necessary forms and promotional materials.
- Follow up with customers after their rental experience to gather feedback, address concerns, and encourage repeat business.
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on all rental agreements and paperwork.
- Document equipment condition through photos before and after rentals, and when new inventory is received.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory through weekly cycle counts.
- Work closely with the Service Department to ensure rental equipment is prepped for clients and inspected upon return.
- Collaborate with sales and rental teams to manage traffic effectively.
- Take photos and manage requests from the sales team or specific personnel as needed.
- Inspect rental machines for damage and report any issues to the service department.
- Maintain a clean and organized yard and storage areas to uphold safety and operational efficiency.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Rental, Parts, or Service Departments to support overall departmental goals. Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in equipment coordination, logistics, or similar role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using typical office software (e.g., MS Office), and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to take detailed and high-quality photographs.
- Physically able to perform tasks in various weather conditions and lift objects up to 75lbs.
