Bilingual Legal Assistant
Salary:
Starting at $30/hour (commensurate with experience) + comprehensive benefits
Fully onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Bilingual Legal Assistant to join a growing Workers' Compensation law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL . This is a fully onsite position supporting attorneys in a fast-paced claimant-side Workers' Compensation practice. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of claimant Workers' Compensation legal assistant experience, is highly organized, excels at client communication, and thrives in a high-volume environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of 120+ Workers' Compensation files
- Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, calendar management, and deadline tracking
- Request and organize medical records and discovery documents
- Prepare settlement documents and other legal correspondence
- Maintain accurate case files using legal case management software
- Communicate professionally with clients, medical providers, and other parties
- Prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and legal software daily
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of claimant-side Workers' Compensation Legal Assistant experience (required)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (required)
- Experience with legal case management software
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced legal environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must be able to work fully onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL (no remote option)
