Food Runner | Genievieve's

The World Equestrian Center – Ocala is seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Food Runner  to support the culinary and front-of-house teams at  Genievieve’s ; our elegant Italian dining concept located within the prestigious Equestrian Manor. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who values precision, teamwork, and delivers seamless guest experience. 

As a Food Runner , you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of dishes from the kitchen to the dining room, maintaining presentation standards and supporting the overall flow of service. Your role is essential in upholding the World Equestrian Center’s core values of  Quality, Class, and Distinction .

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver food orders from the kitchen to guests promptly and with attention to presentation.

• Confirm that all dishes meet culinary and visual standards before leaving the kitchen.

• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth coordination.

• Assist with table maintenance, including clearing and resetting as needed.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of expo stations and service areas.

• Support private dining and special event service with precision and professionalism.

• Uphold all safety, sanitation, and food handling standards.

• Maintain a polished appearance and professional demeanor throughout service.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and carry trays for extended periods during service hours.

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a food runner or support role within an upscale or fine dining environment preferred.

• Strong understanding of food presentation and service etiquette.

• Exceptional communication and organizational skills.

• Professional appearance and refined demeanor.

• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.

• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
