Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced professional for our Shipping/Receiving Lead position. Reporting to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, this role is crucial in supporting the supervisor to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our shipping and receiving operations in a fast-paced, high-volume produce company.
Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead, train and oversee a team of shipping and receiving employees.
• Support receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing SOPs, personnel policies and procedures.
• Delegate tasks and manage workflows to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor work activities to ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Oversee the receipt and inspection of incoming produce.
• Ensure all outbound shipments are accurately picked, packed, and shipped on time.
• Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
• Ensure all shipping and receiving documents are accurately completed and filed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards.

Education and Experience:

• At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution supervisory leadership position required.
• Must be proficient using a computer and possess data-entry experience.
• Experience working in a warehousing environment with forklift safety required.
• Must have current forklift certification. Pallet jack certification a plus.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals and SOP’s.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to speak and write in English.
• Bi-lingual in Spanish required.
• Experience working with berries preferred.
• Famous experience preferred.
• Nights, weekends, and overtime required.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work in 34-degree F cold room for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
