POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Controller is responsible for managing financial operations, analyzing manufacturing costs, and ensuring compliance with regulations and efficiency with accounting practices.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Maintain compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and financial requirements.
• Optimize cash flow and working capital through banking relationships and treasury operations.
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance operational efficiency and protect assets.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic cost-savings initiatives.
• Work closely with department leaders to provide financial guidance.
• Support inventory and closing activities throughout the year.
• Enhance reporting systems and automation to increase productivity.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to accounting team members.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA preferred.
• 10+ years of senior accounting/finance experience; 3+ years in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; advanced excel experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Effective communicator and presenter.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This role is primarily indoors in a typical office setting but will be required to engage in occasional business activities on the production floor. Exposure to possible glass break, sharp tools and moving machinery. Proper PPE is required when on the production floor.

• Ability to use standard office equipment to include computers, phones, scanners, copiers, etc.

• Able to lift up to 20 lbs.
• Ability to travel via car and plane to company facilities. Some overnight travel may be required up to 10% annually.
