We are seeking a part-time Server to become an integral part of our growing restaurant! This is a small, family owned establishment that has a long local history and requires flexible team members whom are both capable and willing to jump in an out of roles as needed. For this role, you will primarily take orders, serve food to patrons, take money and cash out checks, bus tables and answer the phone. As a small establishment, you will sometimes be the only employee on the floor and will need to be able to work closely with the cook and other team members in a pleasant and professional manner at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages to guests
- Explain to guests about menu items
- Clean and prepare the dining areas
- Greet and make all guests feel welcome at the restaurant
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely fashion
- Bus tables and bring items to the dishpit as needed
- Perform other restaurant duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, or other related fields
- Ability to stay calm and professional with both customers and other team members under pressure
- Ability to build rapport with guests
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to self-manage in a safe and professional manner
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
