Breaker Technician II

As a Breaker Technician, you’ll perform preventative maintenance, testing and electrical services in an industrial environment. Key Responsibilities
Perform Electrical testing and maintenance including:
· Circuit breaker operations
· Resistance and insulation testing (phase-to-phase, phase – to – ground)
· Contact resistance and pole testing
· Voltage pick-up and trip/close/trip-free/anti-pump function tests
· Vacuum bottle integrity checks
· Arresters and serialization verification
· Display and analog input/output testing
· Relay meter and discrete input/output testing
· Accurate recording and reporting of all test data and findings
Service and maintain medium to high-voltage equipment:
· Switchgear
· Motor control centers
· Generators
· Circuit breakers
· Protective relays
· Ground fault systems
· Variable frequency drivers (VFD’s)
· Automatic transfer switches (ATS)
· Transformers
Qualifications
· Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical field services and testing
· Strong understanding of electrical systems and safety protocols
· Ability to interpret technical documents and schmatics
· Excellent communication skills
· Clean driving record and background required
Preferred Certifications
· NETA level 2
· DOBLE or MEGGER Training
· MSHA (Mine Safety)
· Phosphate Certification
· OSHA 30 Certification
Willingness to travel between 25 to 50%
