Position Summary
The Turf Operator plays a vital role in keeping our course in top condition. This position involves operating specialized turf equipment to mow, maintain, and enhance the golf course grounds, ensuring consistent quality and playability for our members and guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate turf maintenance equipment including mowers, tractors, sprayers, and utility vehicles.
• Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge or brush trimmer
• Mow greens, tees, fairways, and roughs according to established schedules.
• Assist with irrigation, fertilization, and pest control applications as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent.
• Monitor turf conditions and promptly report issues.
• Perform daily equipment cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Follow all safety guidelines and operational standards.
• Support the team with seasonal projects and course improvements.
• May be required to work in an environment that includes such activities as bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling and grasping for up to 5 hours without sitting. May need to lift up to 100 lbs., occasionally and up to 50 lbs. frequently.
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Experience in golf course, turf maintenance, or landscaping preferred (training provided for motivated candidates).
• Ability to safely operate turf equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards.
• Willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
