Job Summary:
Do you have the skills, passion, to take charge of a professional bakery operation?
Creates delicious pastries and baked goods with consistency, creativity, and great attention to detail. Prepares doughs, mixes, fillings, and specialty items while ensuring every product tastes as good as it looks. Keeps the pastry station organized, clean, and running smoothly, always following food safety standards. Brings positive energy to the kitchen and helps deliver beautiful, high-quality pastries for daily service and retail guests.
Requirements:Essential Job Functions:
• Strong understanding of pastries, breads, breakfast items, and bakery equipment.
• Ability to execute tasks with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Knowledge of basic pastry/bakery operations, including food safety, sanitation, and proper maintenance.
• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure while meeting production schedules.
• Ability to use all senses to ensure quality standards in flavor, texture, and presentation.
• Comfortable working with all products and ingredients required in established recipes.
• Ability to assist in planning and producing creative pastry displays and desserts.
• Works cohesively with the bakery team to support a positive and efficient environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Able to operate, clean, and maintain bakery tools and equipment safely.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations needed for measurements and recipes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ability to work any required shift, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must wear cut-resistant gloves when using knives, slicers, or sharp tools.
• Non-slip shoes are required for a safe working environment (not provided by the company).
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to perform job duties with strong attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and follow through efficiently.
• High school diploma or equivalent vocational training in baking or culinary arts.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Pastry Cook or Assistant Pastry Chef.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Reliable and consistent transportation.
