Schedule: PRN Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 3000 Medical Park Dr City: Tampa State: Florida Postal Code: 33613 Job Description: • Disposes of radioactive materials and stores radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures. • Prepares stock radiopharmaceuticals, adhering to safety standards to minimize radiation exposure to workers and patients. • Explains test procedures and safety precautions to patients and provides assistance during test procedures. • Process cardiac function studies using a computer and records and process results of procedures. • Maintains and calibrates radioisotope and laboratory equipment, ensuring proper functioning. Gathers information on patients' illnesses and medical history to guide the choice of diagnostic procedures for therapy. • Trains and supervises student or subordinate nuclear medicine technologists. • Develops treatment procedures for nuclear medicine treatment programs and participates in performance improvement projects. •Calculates, measures, and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used, and disposed of, following physician's prescription. • Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce photographic or computer images. • Administers radiopharmaceuticals or radiation to patients to detect or treat diseases under the direction of a physician. • Produces computer-generated or film images for interpretation by a physician. •Other duties as assigned. • BLS upon hire or within 90 days. CPR skills check biannually. [Required]

• Must be able to communicate effectively. [Required]

Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
• Technical/Vocational School [Preferred]

Field of Study:
• Graduate of an Accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology Program
