Job Title: Entry-Level Maintenance Technician (Full-Time) Location: Okaloosa Island, FL Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Weekends required

Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and motivated Entry-Level Maintenance Technician to join our team at a large condominium complex on Okaloosa Island. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in property maintenance—we are ready to train the right candidate! You'll gain hands-on experience in pool care, janitorial services, minor repairs, and general upkeep of the property.

Key Responsibilities:

• Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and guests.
• Perform routine janitorial tasks including trash removal, bathroom cleaning, window washing, handrail cleaning, and dumpster swaps.
• Support minor maintenance work such as painting, pressure washing, blowing off walkways, and small repairs (no permit required).
• Monitor property for maintenance needs and determine whether tasks can be handled in-house or need vendor assistance.
• Assist with inventory and ordering of maintenance supplies.
• Maintain property readiness for weather-related or emergency situations.
• Complete daily maintenance checklists and submit reports or work orders as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
• May occasionally assist with construction, installations, or equipment maintenance under supervision.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• College coursework or trade school education a plus but not required.
• Must pass a drug screening and background check.
• Ability to communicate clearly, follow instructions, and work well as part of a team.
• Basic familiarity with tools and repairs is a plus but not required—we will train!
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor safely.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and reach overhead for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, rain, humidity, etc.).
• Capable of using hands, wrists, and fingers for repetitive tasks.
• Must have a valid Florida driver's license.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
