We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Barista/Cashier to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team!

Responsibilities

1. Craft and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup.
2. Provide personalized service to guests, taking orders with diligence and offering recommendations based on their preferences.
3. Masterfully prepare a variety of specialty coffee drinks, including lattes, cappuccinos, macchiatos, and seasonal offerings.
4. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee machines, equipment, and serving areas, in accordance with health and safety standards.
5. Uphold the highest standards of beverage quality and presentation, adhering to established recipes and techniques.
6. Assist in inventory management, including stocking and replenishing coffee beans, syrups, and other supplies as needed.
7. Maintain the grab and go marketplace offerings.
8. Collaborate with other food and beverage team members to ensure seamless service and exceed guest expectations.
9. Demonstrate a passion for coffee and a commitment to excellence, embodying the luxury resort's brand values and standards.
10. Contribute to the overall guest experience by delivering exceptional service and creating memorable moments through genuine hospitality.
11. Notify Supervisors immediately of any product shortages or out-of-stock items.
12. Record all transactions in the InfoGenesis system at time of order accurately.
13. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages.
14. Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
15. Complete closing duties, including restocking items to set par levels, turning off lights, etc.
16. Present physical and accurate check to guests and process payments
17. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
18. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to resort standards.
19. Anticipate and address guests` service needs.
20. Speak with others using a clear and professional language.
21. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others and support your team to reach common goals.
22. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
23. Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
24. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivated individual
• Must be able to speak, comprehend, read, and write English.

• Ability to implement and uphold service standards.
• Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments.
• Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the resort.
• Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
• Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Experience, Education, & Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED recommended.
• Some College experience or Degree recommended.
• Must be TIPS certified or become certified within 30 days of hire.
• Must have a current Food Handlers card.
• Previous barista experience in a professional setting is preferred.
