About the Role

We’re looking for a Senior Staff Accountant who’s curious, analytical, and ready to help shape that story alongside our CFO and Controller. This is a perfect opportunity for an individual who is detail-oriented, communicates effectively, technically capable, intellectually curious and holds a deep desire to solve problems, and efficiently delivers a quality work product in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and reconcile general ledger accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Maintain integrity of financial data across information systems and databases
  • Analyze complex business and financial data to support decision-making
  • Oversee cash receipts, deposits, and reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Post and reconcile customer payments, including cash, checks, and credit card transactions
  • Prepare, review, and process weekly payroll with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including financial reporting and variance analysis
  • Support audits (internal and external) by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and documentation
  • Partner cross-functionally to ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (public/private mix a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP (3+ years preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with month-end close and financial reporting
  • Willingness to submit to drug and background screenings

 

Expertise Needed

 

  • Intercompany accounting and reconciliations
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Concur (or similar ERP/expense platforms)
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and modeling
  • Experience with cash management and reconciliations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under deadlines
  • Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent proofreading skills
  • High-level data-entry accuracy and efficiency
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly
