QA Engineer

We are seeking a QA Engineer to join our team and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our SaaS platform. This role requires expertise in manual and automated testing, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving software issues.

The QA Engineer will play a critical role in defining, implementing, and maintaining test strategies that ensure the delivery of high-quality software. This individual will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and client teams to establish best practices and ensure successful client releases. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of test automation, API testing, and performance testing.

Key Responsibilities

Test Strategy & Execution

• Develop, document, and implement comprehensive test plans and test cases for web-based SaaS applications.
• Perform manual and automated testing to validate software functionality, performance, security, and usability.
• Ensure the correctness of end-to-end workflows and be able to troubleshoot lower-level issues across the UI, API, and database.
• Utilize existing test cases and create additional positive and negative test cases based on client scenarios to thoroughly test platform changes.

Test Automation & Tools

• Design and maintain test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Develop automated tests for regression, performance, and load testing. Bug Tracking & Reporting
• Identify, document, and track defects in JIRA, TestRail, or similar tools.
• Work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.
• Provide detailed reports on test progress, defects, and software quality metrics.

Client Collaboration & Product Testing

• Communicate effectively with client stakeholders regarding testing strategies, status, and outcomes.
• Articulate testing plans, status updates, and final outcomes clearly and concisely with clients to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Be available to be onsite with the client multiple days per week as needed to facilitate effective product testing and communication.
• Define and improve QA best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
• Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other test automation tools.
• Strong expertise in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI.
• Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter, Locust, or Gatling24.
• Knowledge of database testing (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Skills

• Strong understanding of test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Certifications (Preferred)

• ISTQB Certified Tester – Advanced Level, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or equivalent certifications - Preferred.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
