Accounts Payable Specialist

Crews Bank & Trust is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team.

Are you detail oriented? Do you have strong technical computer skills? Experienced in all facets of accounts payable and invoice processing? Working knowledge of general ledgers and basic accounting principles?

Requirements

Key responsibilities:

· Performs accounts payable functions, such as processing all bills for payment, produce appropriate checks for distribution, scans and maintains all accounts payable files

· Completes employee expense report disbursements

· Provide general support to other areas of the Accounting team

· Enters Fixed Assets, Prepaids and Accruals into accounts payable system

· Ensures bank is in compliance with laws and regulations

· Follows and reviews audit controls set by management

Minimum Skill Requirements and Background:

· Desire and willingness to work in a collaborative, flexible and team-oriented work environment

· Knowledge of computer operations, with proficiency in Microsoft Office products with emphasis on Outlook, Word, Excel and working knowledge on standard office equipment

· Must have a working knowledge of general ledgers

· Good analytical skills and knowledge of basic accounting principles to research and interpret data, and to assist staff to prepare correcting entries

· Good verbal and written communication skills

· Detail oriented, with accuracy and good organizational skills

· Must be a self-starter and work independently

· Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize well

Education and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree and/or work experience equivalent

· Three years of applicable, hands-on accounting payables experience

· Prior knowledge of AvidAscend platform, a plus
