Accounting Clerk position for a Law Firm in Dadeland area.

Experience / Skills

• At least 2 years of accounts payable.


• Microsoft Office 2016 knowledge focusing on Excel and Outlook.


• Must be able to work independently.


• Must be extremely organized and self-starting.


• Work on projects assigned.


• Attend to all incoming check status calls (from adjusters, clients, restoration companies, etc.)


• Reissue checks due to expiration, satisfied mortgages, change of mortgage, deceased person, etc.


• Obtain all documents needed from clients to reissue payments.


• Follow up with the insurance company on all reissue requests.


• Draft closing documents for all checks that come in a daily basis and follow up with the execution of each one for deposit.


• Make sure the umpire and appraiser invoices get paid.


• Call to obtain mortgage endorsement procedures for all Universal and American Security checks.


• Obtain executed documentation for mortgage endorsement.


• Follow up with all monitored checks by mortgage and request required documentation to get disbursement.


• Request mortgage inspection for all monitored checks after repairs have been completed.


• Strong customer service and able to communicate with clients, mortgage companies and public adjusters.


• Must speak English/Spanish.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $39,000.00 per year

Work Environment and Context

• Required to sit for extended periods, lift to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
