Position Description Summary
We are hiring an Environmental Engineer to work on projects for our aviation clients.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Duties
- Conducting field inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and mitigation measures while utilizing a monitoring and reporting program application.
- Uploading compliance documentation.
- Reviewing and approving construction equipment submittals, hauling waivers, and other application construction documents in compliance with contractual requirements and the project monitoring and reporting program application.
- Resolving Non-Compliance Issues with construction contractors, subcontractors, tenants and their contractors, project managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Utility staff, the lead Mitigation Monitors, other staff, state, local, and federal regulatory agencies as applicable.
- Working and coordinating with lead Mitigation Monitors, Construction Inspectors, and the Coordination and Logistics Management (CALM) team.
- Reviewing, understanding, applying, and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, updates to the Design and Construction Handbook, Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program Application requirements, and other environmental commitments for existing and upcoming CIP and tenant improvement projects.
- Attending quarterly monitoring and reporting program application meetings with project managers, Engineering, Procurement, and Utility staff, and the lead Mitigation Monitors to discuss and address any major non-compliance issues.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- These individuals should have a solid background in environmental regulations (i.e., air quality, stormwater, sustainability, hazardous materials, etc.)
- Experience in mitigation monitoring and compliance with the ability to prioritize duties and deliverables based on changing conditions, as applicable.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Education/Training/Certification
- QSP Required; QSD preferred.
- Knowledge of AQMD requirements.
- CARB compliance monitoring required.

Wage Data Per State Requirements
- The salary range for this position is $150,000.00 - $236,150.00. The starting salary will be dependent upon skill, education, experience, and working environment.

- This job operates in a professional environment and uses standard equipment such as computers and phones.
Physical Demands
- Be able to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours daily.
- Demonstrate the ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
