Job Summary:

The Ventanita Attendant is responsible for operating La Ventanita which is responsible for greeting customers, preparing and serving food and nonalcoholic beverages.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and / or complaints.
• Accept payment from customers and make change as needed.
• Request and record customer orders and compute bills using our point-of-sales system.
• Serve prepared food items such as gelato, soft serve ice cream, and sorbetto along with non-alcoholic beverages.
• Notify leadership team of shortages and / or special orders.
• Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures immediately.
• Possess a positive attitude and has the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
• Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
• Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
• Personifies the best values of The Betsy brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous customer service experience required, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment.
• Must be able to speak, write and understand English. Ability to communicate in Spanish and / or Haitian Creole desirable.
• Must be able to multitask in a fast paced, high quality environment.
• Must be proficient in the use of computers and management software.
