Job Summary:
The Ventanita Attendant is responsible for operating La Ventanita which is responsible for greeting customers, preparing and serving food and nonalcoholic beverages.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate with customers regarding orders, comments, and / or complaints.
- Accept payment from customers and make change as needed.
- Request and record customer orders and compute bills using our point-of-sales system.
- Serve prepared food items such as gelato, soft serve ice cream, and sorbetto along with non-alcoholic beverages.
- Notify leadership team of shortages and / or special orders.
- Reports all equipment problems and maintenance issues, known safety hazards, or unsafe practices and procedures immediately.
- Possess a positive attitude and has the ability to work with a variety of people and in cooperation with co-workers efficiently and effectively.
- Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and Health and Safety standards.
- Personifies the best values of The Betsy brand, demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees on property.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Previous customer service experience required, preferably within a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant environment.
- Must be able to speak, write and understand English. Ability to communicate in Spanish and / or Haitian Creole desirable.
- Must be able to multitask in a fast paced, high quality environment.
- Must be proficient in the use of computers and management software.
