Pediatric Nurse Practitioner - Newborn Nursery - Sunny Southwest Florida

Responsibilities

Pediatrix® Medical Group is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our established neonatology practice in Fort Myers, Florida . This is a fantastic opportunity to practice in a supportive, collaborative environment while enjoying an exceptional Gulf Coast lifestyle.

Position Highlights

• Provide attending coverage at Cape Coral Hospital , a Level I lowrisk delivery service
• Responsibilities include daily newborn nursery rounding and delivery attendance
• Flexible scheduling with 8 or 12hour shifts
• Backup coverage from home for added worklife balance
• Supported by a robust, experienced team of 10 neonatologists and 10 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners at Golisano Children's Hospital
• Hospital affiliated with a stateoftheart, 70bed Level III NICU
• Ideal candidates will have strong prior experience in a newborn nursery

• Singleroom maternity care model , allowing families to remain in one suite throughout labor, delivery, and recovery

Qualifications

• Current APRN national specialty certification as a PNP
• Minimum of a master's degree
• Highly prefer strong prior experience in a newborn nursery
