They are seeking a HVAC & Facilities Maintenance Technician to support operations at a large-scale cannabis cultivation facility in Apollo Beach, FL.

This facility spans 240,000 square feet and has expanded significantly in recent years as production capacity has grown. As the operation continues to scale, the company is investing in building a strong internal maintenance team to reduce reliance on outside contractors and ensure critical systems run efficiently.

HVAC performance is one of the most important factors impacting cultivation production, making this role highly technical and essential to facility operations.

This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with strong HVAC or industrial maintenance backgrounds , particularly those who have worked in commercial facilities, manufacturing plants, or large industrial environments .

Cannabis experience is not required — strong technical ability and maintenance expertise are the priority.

Key Responsibilities HVAC & Environmental Systems

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair large-scale HVAC and environmental control systems critical to cultivation operations.
  • Monitor and maintain facility environmental conditions including temperature, airflow, and humidity .
  • Identify system inefficiencies and proactively address potential issues before they impact production.
Facility Maintenance

  • Perform general facility maintenance, including:
    • Minor repairs
    • Painting
    • Basic plumbing
    • Equipment maintenance
  • Assist with installation and repair of building infrastructure and facility equipment.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and system performance.
Preventative Maintenance

  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on HVAC, mechanical, and building systems.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checklists.
  • Identify opportunities to improve preventative maintenance programs and system reliability.
Team & Operational Support

  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager and internal teams to support facility operations.
  • Assist with coordination of outside contractors when specialized services are required.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout the facility.
  • Support cultivation and production teams when maintenance assistance is required.
What We're Looking For

Required Experience

  • Experience working in one or more of the following environments:
    • HVAC systems
    • Industrial maintenance
    • Commercial facility maintenance
    • Manufacturing facilities
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to perform hands-on repairs and maintenance on facility systems
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance tasks
  • Must be 21 years of age or older and eligible to register with the state cannabis regulatory agency
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with large-scale commercial HVAC systems
  • Experience in manufacturing plants, warehouses, or large industrial facilities
  • Trade certifications or technical training in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • High school diploma or GED

Work Environment
Work is performed in a large cultivation and production facility with varying environmental conditions including temperature, humidity, and exposure to plant material, dust, and pollen.
Technicians may occasionally work on ladders or elevated platforms while servicing equipment or facility systems.
