Staff Accountant

We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant for our corporate office in Altamonte Springs, FL. The ideal candidate will possess a positive attitude, strong communication skills, critical thinking skills for problem solving, detail-oriented, and able to multitask through a variety of assignments and responsibilities, all of which are the foundation for success in this position. Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting is required. Microsoft Office proficiency required. Qualifying candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or business related field. Fluent in Spanish is preferred.

As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly journal entries, analyses and account reconciliations as required to accurately close the monthly fiscal period

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year-end close for all financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.) and all reporting deadlines are met

• Processing invoices, checks, and payments • Resolving accounting discrepancies and irregularities on a timely basis • Answering general ledger account related inquires to the appropriate management and/or department

• Generating financial reports as requested by management team • Accounts Receivable – Review collection of A/R from properties (i.e. Rent, delinquency, etc.)

• Accounts Payable –Responsible for the A/P process to ensure all invoices and credits are coded accurately and timely

• Financial Accounts – monitoring all bank accounts, make deposits, reconcile accounts, transfer funds as needed
