Project Manager

Our client, a boutique IT Consulting organization, are hiring a hands-on Project Manager to join the team on a contract basis in Florida. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of technical solutions on client projects, ensuring thorough understanding and fulfilment of client requirements, and serving as the primary technical point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical liaison for the client, ensuring clear communication and alignment of technical goals throughout the project lifecycle.

• Develop and present architecture documentation, incorporating infrastructure standards and capacity planning to support scalable, reliable solutions.

• Recommend Maximo environment specifications, including servers, CPU/RAM, clusters and JVM configurations, tailored to the client’s operational needs.

• Review functional requirements for technical feasibility and collaborate with the Functional Lead to validate estimates and propose solutions for complex or customised requirements.

• Assign and track technical tasks in coordination with the technical team manager, ensuring effective resource management and on-time delivery.

• Lead internal technical status meetings and provide regular progress updates to the Project Manager to support informed decision-making.

• Guide the development team through design, testing and troubleshooting, maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the delivery phase.

• Establish and enforce technical coding standards, ensuring consistency and compliance with client and industry best practices.

• Participate in the change management process, providing technical input and assessing the impact of changes on scope, time and budget.

• Proactively escalate risks and blockers to the Project Manager and Functional Lead, supporting early intervention and project continuity.

Skillset

• Demonstrated success in a Technical Project Architect role or a comparable senior technical position.

• Solid experience with enterprise asset management systems, preferably IBM Maximo.

• Skilled in producing high-quality documentation and delivering confident, clear presentations in client-facing settings.

• Proven ability to lead, guide and mentor technical teams throughout project delivery.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
