Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Port Saint Lucie, FL, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position spans the current school year, offering a focused role in supporting students communication and language development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in K-12 students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Provide direct therapy and progress monitoring aligned with school goals
- Consult with teachers and staff to support students academic and social communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a speech-language pathologist
- Experience working within a school setting, preferably with K-12 populations
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders and evidence-based intervention strategies
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with students, parents, and education staff
