Position Summary:
This is a professional position providing clinical supervisory oversight for the Children's Outpatient Program (COP) under the Outpatient Services Division. COP provides children's therapy services that are designed for children who have experienced trauma, including loss and grief, depression, anxiety, abuse histories and addictions. COP services can be for the individual or the family and assists in managing mild to moderate behavioral or emotional needs which can stem from trauma, including school behavior difficulties, adoption related issues, thoughts of suicide or self-harm, abuse histories, and addictions. All COP programming utilizes a solution-focused, family centered approach and evidenced based or research supported practices to assist children and families in problem solving skills, behavior strategies, and anger management skills, among other therapeutic interventions.
The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will play an integral role of support, coaching and guidance for a team of Therapists and Counselors who will be serving children, adolescents, and families, with mental health needs. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic is assigned to oversee Therapists and Counselors serving youth and families with a mental health or co-occurring mental health & substance abuse concern and is responsible for guiding the therapist and counselors in supporting the youth and family in treatment and recovery. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will ensure that the counseling services being delivered are individualized, recovery-focused and allow individuals the opportunity to learn how to manage their own recovery and advocacy process. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will be a subject matter expert on counseling interventions that serve to enhance the development of recovery, natural supports, as well as coping and self-management skills. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will ensure that COP Clinic staff emphasize personal safety, self-worth, confidence, and growth, connection to the community, boundary setting, planning, self-advocacy, personal fulfillment, and development of social supports, and effective communication. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will monitor the counseling services provided emphasize the acquisition; development; expansion of rehabilitative skills needed to move forward in recovery. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will ensure that the therapists and counselors collaborate with the other service providers, such as psychiatry, SOAR, Behavioral Health Case Managers, High Fidelity Wraparound Facilitators and Homeless Services. If the youth or family are not engaged in and need these other services, the COP Supervisor will notify the program supervisor/director and help the Therapists or Counselor provide education on these services and help to coordinate initiation, as clinically appropriate. If these services are recommended, but the youth or family are not yet willing to engage, this should be documented in the service notes and the Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic will be responsible for reviewing and monitoring the documentation. This is a clinic-based position. The Supervisor of Children's Outpatient Clinic is responsible for ensuring a total annual client facing client care number of 11,280 hours combined for all staff, which reflects a minimum of 1,410 annual hours of client facing client care per counselor/therapist (8) on the team. Achieving the minimum required weekly, monthly and annual client facing client care hours is an essential function of this position

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold a Master's Degree Social Work or related area of study from an accredited university with two (2) years of supervisory experience and has at least 2 years of experience in working with at-risk populations to include families experiencing substance misuse, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed children.
- Florida licensure as a LMFT, LMHC or LCSW preferred, but not required.
- Must have a minimum of 2-5 years of documented supervisory experience
- Certified Addictions Professional (CAP) preferred.
- Must become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator in high fidelity Wraparound and become certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach within 3 months of employment. Preference will be given to individuals who are currently certified as a Wraparound Facilitator Supervisor/Coach in high fidelity Wraparound.
