TBC markets on a wholesale basis to regional tire chains and distributors serving independent tire dealers throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. SCOA is the largest subsidiary of Sumitomo Corporation, one of Japan’s major integrated trading and investment business enterprises. In 2018 Michelin, the largest tire manufacturer in Europe, invested in the company which is now a 50:50, privately held joint venture between Sumitomo and Michelin.

Description

We’re seeking a proactive, detail obsessed Digital Marketing Specialist (Website Optimization, Local SEO & Franchisee Support) to own and elevate Big O Tires’ AI & search presence. This role blends strategic SEO thinking, hands on technical execution, and white glove support for our franchise network. You’ll manage all local listings, optimize our national and local SEO performance, support AI driven visibility, and collaborate closely with cross functional teams to ensure a unified digital experience across the brand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead ongoing website SEO initiatives, including metadata optimization, schema markup, internal linking, and content updates.
  • Improve site performance through page‑speed enhancements, Core Web Vitals optimization, mobile responsiveness, and crawlability improvements.
  • Apply foundational HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge to implement SEO fixes and QA technical updates.
  • Partner with developers to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into new features, templates, and site enhancements.
  • Conduct keyword research to inform national and local content strategies.
  • Identify and prioritize opportunities for on‑site and technical SEO improvements.

Additional Job Responsibilities

  • Support optimization for emerging AI‑driven search experiences across platforms such as Google SGE and Bing Copilot.
  • Identify and implement structured data enhancements to improve visibility across AI‑powered search surfaces.
  • Monitor evolving AI search trends and guide the organization in adapting strategies and best practices.
  • Collaborate with analytics, paid media, content, brand, operations, IT, creative, and customer experience teams to ensure cohesive digital strategy and execution.
  • Manage vendor relationships and maximize the value of enterprise SEO tools.

Continued Responsibilities

  • Analyze competitive landscapes to uncover opportunities for national and local digital growth.
  • Manage and optimize local business listings across Google Business Profiles, Apple Business Connect, Bing Places, Yelp, and other directories.
  • Maintain NAP consistency and ensure accurate, up‑to‑date information for all franchise locations.
  • Optimize local ranking factors including categories, attributes, services, photos, and reviews.
  • Troubleshoot listing issues such as suspensions, duplicates, ownership conflicts, and verification challenges.

Added Responsibilities

  • Provide high‑touch support to franchisees on digital listings, reputation management, and local SEO best practices.
  • Deliver training, documentation, and process guidance to franchisees and internal teams to strengthen local digital presence.
  • Track and analyze KPIs across website SEO, local SEO, and franchisee engagement.
  • Build dashboards and recurring reports to communicate performance trends, insights, and opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience in local SEO, multi location SEO, or digital marketing.
  • Hands on experience with Google Business Profiles, local listing platforms, and SEO tools (e.g., BrightEdge, SOCI, YEXT, GA4, GSC).
  • Basic technical skills including comfort with HTML, CSS, and understanding of JavaScript’s impact on SEO.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to deliver clear, friendly, and effective support to franchise owners.
  • Analytical mindset with comfort interpreting data and making data-driven recommendations.
  • Experience with structured data, schema, or AI driven search optimization is a plus.
  • Familiarity with franchise or multi unit retail environments is highly preferred.
  • Technical SEO skills
  • Franchise marketing experience a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish / English are a plus
