CNC Machining Engineer - Intern

Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control \(MFC\) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Associate to support the Machining Operations Center \(MOC\) located within our Orlando, FL campus\. The MOC specializes in producing ultra\-precision machined components that are the foundation of infrared and electro\-optical targeting systems used primarily for defense applications\. Responsibilities may include one or more of the following: \- Create work instructions detailing the appropriate equipment, methods, special processes, tools and fixturing required to manufacture our complex components\. \- Design of special tools and fixtures required to support manufacturing\. \- Provide manufacturing floor support to resolve technical and manufacturing issues\. \- Perform Root Cause analysis and implement effective Corrective Action to address quality related issues\. \- Investigate, propose, and implement technology to reduce costs and/or improve quality\. \- Utilize CAM software for CNC programming \- Perform other duties as assigned\. **Basic Qualifications:** - Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college in Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree - Experience using CAD Software - Must have the ability to obtain facility access\. **Desired Skills:** - Experience with CNC Machines - Experience with G\-code - Experience with CAM - Experience with 2D drawings along with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing **Clearance Level:** None **Other Important Information You Should Know** **Expression of Interest:** By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\.
