Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:

ENG- Perform quality assurance activities supporting supplied parts and materials on the manufacturing production floor. Evaluate technical documentation, analyze defects, and collaborate with supplier quality teams to support accurate defect resolution and production quality improvements. Monitor quality metrics and support supplier activities to maintain manufacturing standards.

#Education & Job Requirements

*Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
*Strong communication and collaboration skills
*Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
*Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical drawings, blueprints, schematics, or maintenance manuals

#Preferred Skills

*Utilize Tableau and other data visualization platforms for quality tracking
*Apply inspection techniques and interpret engineering drawings and prints
*Demonstrate familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
*Work with machining and manufacturing practices
*Support electrical assembly commodities including CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components
*Understand industry standards including IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and IPC-WHMA-A-620

#Job Duties & Functions

*Respond to quality concerns associated with supplied parts and materials on the manufacturing production floor
*Document product defects accurately to support quality records
*Perform technical evaluations of product requirements, specifications, models, designs, drawings, and procedures
*Collaborate with supplier quality representatives to analyze and disposition nonconforming parts and materials
*Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends
*Support on-site supplier activities to facilitate efficient defect resolution
