Front Desk Manager

Essential Job Duties:

1. Manages resident reservations (i.e., recreational activities, transportation, and guest room, leave of absence etc.)
2. Attends training as assigned; completes Relias training on time every month.
3. Run daily check-in report and verify resident safety.
4. Greets visitors and ensures proper check-in.
5. Conduct job interviews, 90-day performance reviews, annual reviews as well as disciplinary action for Front Desk Associates.
6. Review and submit billing for transportation and guest room fees.
7. Must be familiar with emergency procedures and able to assist in the event of an emergency evacuation.
8. Directs delivery of parcels according to the policy (attached).
9. Answers and routes all calls accordingly.
10. Mentor and coach direct reports.
11. Ensures front desk staffing levels are sufficient to effectively address company needs during peak and off-peak business hours. Addresses after-hours staffing concerns and shortages.

Other Duties:

1. Conduct an annual review of the Front Desk policy and procedures for updates and changes, as needed.
2. Operate as a member of a team both within the department and across departments.
3. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess basic math skills and the ability to communicate effectively using various means; the ability to understand measurements and conversions is required.
2. High school diploma or equivalent required.

Uniform Requirements:

1. Slip Resistant Shoes: to minimize the possibility of injury from slipping on wet floors, the use of slip resistant shoes is mandatory while on duty. Shoes must be designated as “slip resistant” by the manufacturer. Shoes at your own expense.
2. Proper seasonal uniform attire (provided by BayWoods of Annapolis); no jeans.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Physical effort is minimal. Seventy-five percent (75%) of the workday is spent sitting, standing intermittently, and bending. Must be able to lift and carry up to twenty (20) pounds.
