Candy Sales Associate
The candy sales and customer service associate position is responsible for maintaining customer service, generating sales, general housekeeping, merchandising, cash register operations (POS) and loss prevention in adherence to all company policies and standards of behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that each guest receives outstanding customer service by providing a customer friendly environment, including greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintaining outstanding standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of customer service
- Maintain an awareness of all product information, promotions, upcoming events and advertisements
- Responsible for generating sales and cross selling all products and services within The Studer Family of Companies
- Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
- Assist in floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and store housekeeping. Keeping the sales floor and restrooms neat, clean and organized
- Stock and re-stock all candy, ingredients, supplies, and merchandise throughout shift
- Adhere to dress code, standards of behavior, all company policies, procedures and practices, including signing, pricing, and loss prevention
- Follow all opening and closing procedures
- Accurately and efficiently complete all sales transactions and maintain proper cash and special promotions at POS registers
- May work special events and assist in all other departments; as needed with approval of supervisor(s)
- Communicate customer requests to management
- Performs all other duties as requested or directed
Requirements
- Maintain professional attitude and appearance at all times
- Well-organized and detail-oriented with all guest services
- Required to stand, walk, and lift items (up to 25 lbs.) on a regular basis
- Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions and request clarification when needed
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to build relationships with customers
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED and one to three years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, bending, stooping, and able to lift up to 25 pounds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a regular, part-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.
