Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Assurance Senior to conduct and oversee financial assurance engagements. Responsibilities include analyzing and verifying financial records, evaluating internal control systems, and offering recommendations for improvement. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of assurance practices, financial regulations, and a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial assurance engagements
• Analyze and evaluate financial records, statements, and transactions
• Assess internal control systems and procedures
• Prepare detailed assurance reports and present findings to management
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies
• Offer recommendations for operational and financial improvements
• Supervise junior assurance staff and provide training and guidance
• Stay updated on financial trends and regulations

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in public accounting, ideally at a Big 4 or large firm
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
• CPA-eligible or actively pursuing certification
• Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial regulations
• Proficient in QuickBooks (or similar) and MS Office; experience with financial software a plus
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational abilities
• Effective communicator with clients and team members
• Team leadership experience and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments, especially during peak season
• Skilled at spotting discrepancies and resolving issues efficiently
