Position Overview:

As an IR Technologist, you will assist with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures and perform various radiologic procedures. This role requires you to operate x-ray equipment, monitor fluoroscopic and interventional radiographic procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling & Clerical: Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical duties.

  • Radiologic Procedures: Perform a variety of tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment and making radiographs. Adjust equipment to ensure proper exposure techniques.

  • Interventional Assistance: Assist the physician with fluoroscopic and interventional radiographic procedures, including preparing instruments, catheters, and other devices.

  • Contrast & Medications: Prepare and dispense contrast media and medications to clinicians.

  • Sterile Environment: Maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure.

  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients' vital signs and comfort during procedures, and assist with post-procedure recovery.

  • Record Keeping: Process related paperwork using computer equipment and maintain accurate records of procedures and patient data.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved school of radiologic technology.

  • Licensed in the State of Florida and ARRT certification in Radiography (RT(R)).

  • BLS Certification.

  • A minimum of one-year experience in radiologic imaging and IR procedures (preferred).

  • Proficiency with X-ray, C-arm, IR procedures, and protocols.

  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology.

  • Experience with the use, QA, and troubleshooting of radiologic equipment.
