The opportunity

As a Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer on our Factory testing team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of manufacturing software systems automation testers and tools.

Location: This position requires being fully on-site at our Plantation FL facility to ensure seamless collaboration and hands-on support for daily operations. Relocation assistance is available for non-local candidates.

What youll do

• Design and implement advanced manufacturing software systems and tools to support production efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure the security and protection of core intellectual property across all manufacturing software platforms.
• Integrate data systems seamlessly with other manufacturing and enterprise systems to enhance data flow and visibility.
• Leverage emerging technologies to design automate and optimize manufacturing test processes.
• Develop and maintain robust web services to support manufacturing operations and system connectivity.

The experience you bring

• 5 years of combined professional experience in software development or related fields
• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or equivalent field
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and proficiency in scripting languages such as C# Python or C/C.
• Hands-on experience with database systems including Microsoft SQL PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Proficient in development environment.
• Familiarity with common software design patterns such as MVC and MVVM.
• Development experience across both Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Solid understanding of communication networking and messaging protocols.
• Proven experience designing and supporting high-availability systems.
• Exceptional written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Its exciting if you also have

• Masters degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Mechanical Engineering Computer Science or equivalent field
• Advanced developer-level proficiency in environment.
• Experience with IoT systems and SECS/GEM communication standards is a plus.
• Background in high-volume world-class design and manufacturing processes for consumer electronic products is highly desirable.
• Experience with image processing and computer vision technologies.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robotics control systems and systems integration.

Additional Requirements

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20%.

Our salary ranges are determined by role level and addition to salary Magic Leap offers a discretionary bonus and a fully comprehensive benefits package for eligible employees.
