Network Software Engineer

Nomadix® Inc. is seeking a Network Software Engineer, reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.

We have been serving the hotel technology market for over 25 years and have a global reputation for delivering powerful and personalized connectivity and digital engagement solutions designed with real people in mind. In addition to Hospitality, we also offer managed Wi-Fi services to multi-tenant/multi-dwelling properties and are moving into adjacent markets.

The individual in this dynamic role will actively participate in all facets of software development, including technical system and functional specification, detailed design, module architecture, coding, unit and desktop testing. The Network Software Engineer will design and develop networking software with C/C++ using VxWorks operating systems.

• Minimum 4 years of programming experience in a workplace setting, including extensive hands-on specific knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP (highly preferred), SNMP, DHCP and/or
• Fluency in C/C++
• Solid grasp of object-oriented programming
• Familiarity with Real Time Operating System environments such as VxWorks, BSD or Linux
• Significant experience developing software for embedded OS
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or close equivalent
• Proactive, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Positive work attitude

Additional Desirable Attributes for this role

• Senior-level experience
• Significant networking software development and embedded software development experience
• Experience developing software for routers, gateways, or switches; driver-level experience
• Working knowledge of VLAN, VoIP, IEEE 802.11, fault tolerance, and QOS technologies
• Basic knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
