Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time opportunity is available for an experienced educator specializing in serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students in a K-12 public school setting. This position is based in Florida and offers a full academic year contract, providing a rewarding environment to make a significant impact within a diverse student population.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across multiple grade levels
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop individualized education plans
• Implement appropriate munication strategies and educational interventions tailored to students needs
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches accordingly
• Participate in professional development and team meetings related to DHH education

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education
• Experience working with a mixed-age caseload in a school setting preferred
• Strong knowledge of munication modes and strategies relevant to DHH learners (e.g., ASL, speech, auditory-verbal techniques)
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to supporting diverse learning styles and fostering student achievement

Location and Schedule:

• Position located in Bushnell, Florida
• Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
• Serving a mixed-age student population (K-12)
