Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1+ years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time teaching position is available for an educator specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students within a K-12 public school setting located in The Villages, FL. This is a contract role for the new school year, providing services to a diverse age range of students with varying needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across mixed age groups K-12
• Manage and acmodate a caseload designed to meet individual student munication and learning requirements
• Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers to enhance student outes
• Utilize assessment data to inform instructional planning and adapt teaching strategies accordingly

Qualifications:

• Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education or related endorsement required
• Experience working with Deaf/Hard of Hearing students across multiple grade levels preferred
• Strong munication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Knowledge of assistive technology and munication modalities relevant to DHH learners

Schedule and Location:

• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Position located in Sumter County, FL, serving students in The Villages area
• Contract duration aligned with the new school year calendar
