Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Housekeeping, the Floor Tech is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of facility floors and assisting with the cleaning of resident rooms and common areas as assigned.

Essential Responsibilities

• Dust mop and wet mop hallways, entryways, and common areas.
• Strip, wax, buff, and maintain floors according to established schedules and procedures.
• Operate floor care equipment safely and effectively.
• Inspect equipment for proper operation and report malfunctions to the supervisor.
• Clean and store equipment after each use.
• Assist with cleaning resident rooms and designated areas as assigned.
• Follow all facility policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Patience, compassion, and respect for elderly and disabled individuals.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including physical requirements.
