Accountant

Description

Position Summary :

The accountant will contribute to the efficient and effective workings of the finance department by executing daily tasks and other related financial activities with strong attention to detail. This role will utilize strong time management skills and effective problem solving.

Duties and Responsibilities :

o Accounts Payables, including processing payments, credits, AP and vendor deposit general ledger reconciliation.

o Prepare and post journal entries.

o Payroll (monthly).

o Monthly reporting and reconciliation of sales and use taxes (Avalara)

o Travel expenses review and reimbursement.

o Handling Monthly and Year End accounting closing tasks.

o Provide auditors with assistance; provide necessary account information and documents to perform an annual audit.

o Assist in Fixed Asset, and Sales Commission as needed

o Perform other related duties as assigned.

Other Duties per Company Requirements :

o Assist with special projects.

Requirements

Knowledge & Skills :

o Strong Excel, MS Word, Power Point, skills required.

o Understanding of and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.

o Good analytical skills.

o Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized.

o Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

o Able to work independently and as part of a team.

o Confidentiality and Time Management.

Qualifications :

o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline required.

o Three to five years of accounting experience required.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands :

o Work typically takes place in a normal office environment requiring.

o Sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing Operating a PC and other office equipment.

o Travel between floors and office buildings may require 

o Environment conditions: Noise, vibration, oils, solvents, chemicals.
