Sr. Developer with Java & AWS

Akkodis is seeking an Sr. Developer with Java & AWS for a Contract with a client in Melbourne, FL(Remote). Candidates must bring strong Java (17+) and AWS cloud proficiency to design microservices architectures and optimize application performance in cloud environments.

Rate Range: $36/hour to $38/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Sr. Developer with Java & AWS job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable backend services using Java (17+) and Spring Boot within microservices architectures.

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration across cloud‑native components.

• Implement secure, efficient AWS solutions using services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and related cloud infrastructure.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across distributed cloud environments.

• Collaborate with onshore teams in an Agile setup to deliver project milestones on time.

• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and ensure continuous improvement of backend services.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• 8+ years of hands‑on development experience with strong expertise in Java and cloud‑based application development.

• Proven experience building microservices and backend services using Java (17+), Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

• Strong, practical experience working with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and optimizing cloud‑native applications for performance and scalability.

Pay Details: $36.00 to $38.00 per hour
