Warehouse Team Leader

: Description:

The Warehouse Team Leader assists with aspects of supervising and managing the various distribution functions. Performs shipping/receiving functions to fulfill customer needs and assure customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performs the full spectrum of warehouse functions, i.e., pulls and packs orders, performs quality checks, updates SAP, etc.
• Creates bills of lading for each freight carrier and monitors shipments
• Prepares all customer's paperwork
• Serves as back-up to Warehouse Manager, supervising staff
• Operates forklift and unloads trucks
• Assists with and training staff
• Assures compliance with all safety regulations
• Performs housekeeping and building maintenance duties
• Keeps supervisor inform on key issues
• Other required tasks as needed

• In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations
• Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite; data entry (SAP)
• Supervisory and leadership skills
• Ability to use hand tools and licensed forklift operator
• Basic reading and math skills
• Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
• Understanding of shipping/receiving
• Broad Product knowledge
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• High school diploma (required), Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 5+ years of experience in a warehouse leadership role
• Demonstrate strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation
