Human Resources Generalist
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support day-to-day HR operations across recruiting, onboarding, HRIS/ATS administration, benefits coordination, payroll support, reporting, compliance, employee engagement, and general employee support.
This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, comfortable working with confidential information, and interested in taking ownership of a broad range of human resources functions in a growing healthcare environment.
Position Overview
The Human Resources Generalist will support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting coordination, onboarding, employee record management, HRIS administration, benefits support, compliance tracking, reporting, and employee engagement initiatives. This position will work closely with leadership, managers, employees, vendors, and benefits administrators to help ensure HR processes are accurate, timely, compliant, and employee-focused.
Key Responsibilities
- Post job openings and coordinate interviews with candidates, hiring managers, and leadership
- Support onboarding by launching new-hire tasks, tracking completion, and maintaining accurate employee files
- Serve as a primary administrator for Paylocity and assist with HRIS, ATS, and employee self-service updates
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, personnel files, and system data with a high level of accuracy
- Provide basic HRIS support to employees and managers
- Assist with payroll batches, employee data changes, timekeeping updates, and record corrections as needed
- Enroll new hires in benefit plans and process qualifying life events
- Review monthly insurance invoices and help resolve discrepancies with vendors, brokers, or benefits administrators
- Track training completions, anniversaries, assessments, key control logs, compliance items, and other HR metrics
- Build HR reports, charts, spreadsheets, and process maps to support leadership, audits, and review cycles
- Assist with drafting and maintaining HR policies, procedures, reports, and employee communications
- Coordinate trainings, staff meetings, and employee events, including rooms, materials, A/V, catering, and scheduling
- Prepare and deliver quarterly HR updates, reports, and presentations as needed
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help promote a positive workplace culture
- Support compliance with HR policies, procedures, privacy standards, healthcare requirements, and documentation expectations
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee records, payroll information, benefit details, and other sensitive information
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in human resources, HRIS, payroll support, business administration, or a related administrative role preferred
- Active HIPAA compliance credential or training required
- Experience working with HRIS, ATS, payroll, or employee management platforms
- Strong Excel, reporting, data entry, and documentation skills
- Ability to write clear policies, procedures, reports, and employee communications
- Strong communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle confidential employee and organizational information with professionalism and discretion
