    Position Title: DIGITAL BANKING AND PROJECT SPECIALIST

    General Purpose:

    • Leads digital banking development projects and strategic initiatives that are complex and innovative, requiring extensive knowledge of the specialty area.
    • Makes recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and the line of business.
    • Serves as specialist advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for decision-making bodies.

    Summary of Essential Duties:

    • Manages different enhancement projects on the Bank's online banking platform. including managing vendors and product testing.
    • Provides ideas and makes recommendations to improve and enhance the current digital environment and related products.
    • Works closely with vendors to implement features into the current online platform, such as new payment functionalities and UI/UX optimization.
    • Tracks digital banking activity and develops reporting.
    • Collaborates with prospective users and clients to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
    • Creates the product road map based on the organization's vision.
    • Oversees all stages of product creation including design and development.
    • Manages and prioritizes the product backlog based on changing environments.
    • Monitors and evaluates product progress at each stage of the process.
    • Liaises with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
    • Assists in the analysis of core system data to improve reliability of data and reporting.
    • Participates in Scrum and product sprints.
    • Demonstrates high level of interpersonal skills and team spirit in line with the Core Desjardins Values and Behaviors.

    • Collaborates with various bank departments.
    • Periodic contact with other entities of Desjardins Group.
    • Regular contact with bank vendors and potential vendor clients

    Desired Qualifications

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/APTITUDES:

    • Working knowledge of product development architecture, especially in the digital banking environment.
    • Advanced technical skills, including technical knowledge of solutions and understanding of technical components, such as JSON, API.
    • Excellent knowledge of user-centered design principles.
    • Familiarity with website management and general information technology infrastructure and security.
    • Proven experience and high-level understanding of database management and Microsoft applications, especially Power BI, and ability to apply them to real situations.
    • Advanced computer and Microsoft Office suite skills, especially for data and other presentations.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional and large teams.
    • Strong work ethic and time management skills.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • Required Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or Information Systems, or Computer-related field.
    • Software/app development and API integration experience.
    • 3-5 years' varied experience in Banking, especially Digital Banking in a Community or National Bank.
    • Experience with NCR Digital Banking platforms highly desirable .
    • Product development/marketing experience a plus.

    Physical and Other Requirements:

    • Willing to work overtime if necessary to meet required deadlines.
    • Attends and completes all required periodic training in BSA, Compliance and all other mandatory trainings scheduled by management.
