Infrastructure Engineer-II

Role: SR. NETWORK ENGINEER

Location: Miramar, FL (Hybrid – 3 days Onsite Per Week)
Conversion: Temp-To-Perm (Candidates Must Be Eligible to work in the U.S. Without Sponsorship)

Role Overview:

• Infrastructure Engineer II (internally referred to as Senior Network Engineer).
  


• Core responsibilities: data centers, cloud networking, routing, switching, security, Azure, and AWS.
  


• Must have large enterprise experience (Fortune 500 preferred); smaller environment experience may not translate well.
  


• Will join a team of four engineers (total team size: nine, majority based in South Florida).
  

Requirements & Preferences:

• Strong background in both cloud (AWS/Azure) and core networking (OSPF, BGP).
  


• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
  


• Must be based in South Florida
  


• No sponsorship available.
  

Work Type:

• Primarily project-based; limited escalation support.
  

Interview Process:

1. Initial interview with MANAGER
   


2. Interview with Principal Engineer
   


3. Technical lab (virtual, scenario-based, evaluated for hands-on skills).
   

Other Notes:

• Temp-to-perm conversion band is set in Fieldglass. (Perm Salary is 125k-135k with 10% bonus)

Job Overview

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure solutions, with a strong focus on cloud and hybrid networking. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across on-prem and cloud environments. The engineer also serves as an escalation point for complex issues and contributes to technical standards, documentation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support cloud and on-prem network infrastructure (Azure, AWS, Cisco ACI)

• Manage connectivity solutions including Azure ExpressRoute, AWS Direct Connect, and BGP routing

• Support hybrid environments integrating Cisco Nexus, Palo Alto firewalls (VM & hardware), and VPNs

• Provide Tier 2/3 support and participate in on-call rotation

• Troubleshoot performance, security, and connectivity issues across enterprise networks

• Perform capacity planning, risk assessments, and contingency planning

• Evaluate new technologies, recommend improvements, and contribute to network strategy

• Maintain detailed documentation of network architecture, standards, and configurations

• Mentor junior team members and support cross-team initiatives

Qualifications

Minimum:

• Bachelor’s or Technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering

• Proficiency in cloud networking (Azure/AWS), BGP, and data center technologies

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto NGFW (hardware & VM), Cisco ACI, Nexus, and QoS policies

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills

• Familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

Preferred:

• Experience with infrastructure-as-code and automation tools

• AWS Certification

• Previous experience in large-scale hybrid cloud environments

Specialized Technologies

• Cloud Networking: Azure (ExpressRoute), AWS (Direct Connect), VPC, Transit Gateway

• Routing/Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Cisco Nexus, Cisco ACI

• Security: Palo Alto firewalls (hardware & VM), VPN, segmentation, network policy controls

• Performance: QoS, SLA monitoring, backbone design, network optimization
