Senior Electrical Engineer Responsibilities :
- Demonstrates core competencies: Action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, and ownership
- Serve as the primary electrical technical authority for construction and commissioning, providing expert guidance across assigned projects
- Lead development, review, and approval of electrical installation, testing, and commissioning procedures; validate designs, analyses, and field execution for AC/DC systems
- Interpret and verify complex electrical documents, including drawings, protection schemes, wiring diagrams, load lists, and equipment data, ensuring compliance with codes, standards, and Mitsubishi specifications
- Lead resolution of complex site and design issues, including protection, controls, integration, and commissioning challenges; support RCAs and corrective actions
- Provide authoritative technical direction to Site Managers, TFAs, contractors, and vendors to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant execution
- Oversee construction support planning, protection coordination studies, relay settings, short-circuit analyses, and alignment with project schedules
- Review and approve technical submittals, PARs, bid evaluations, and major equipment acceptance through cross-functional collaboration
- Mentor and develop engineers, promote best practices, drive standardization of electrical procedures, and foster a culture of safety, quality, and technical excellence
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering
- 10+ years of experience supporting Gas Turbine, CCGT, or large power-generation electrical systems
- Deep experience with GT controls, excitation systems, relays and protection, high-voltage distribution equipment, and commissioning practices
- Experience with P6 or similar scheduling tools is desirable
- Strong understanding of ISO procedures, OSHA requirements, and power plant safety protocols
- Travel domestically/internationally up to 20–30% as required
