Critical Care Intensivist (Neuro-Critical Care Preferred) Established ICU Program | AdventHealth Coastal Florida

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Critical Care Medicine physician , with additional Neuro-Critical Care board eligibility or certification preferred, to join our growing Critical Care program serving AdventHealth Daytona Beach, AdventHealth Palm Coast, and AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway .

This opportunity offers the ability to practice full-scope critical care medicine across multiple ICU settings, including medical/surgical and neuro-critical care, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team at highly rated hospitals along Florida’s beautiful Atlantic Coast. This is a newly created position to support expanding ICU coverage.

The ideal candidate is a team-oriented intensivist committed to clinical excellence, compassionate patient care, and collaborative practice, while supporting AdventHealth’s mission of Extending the Healing Ministry of Christ .

Position Highlights:

• 182 shifts per year

• 7 on / 7 off schedule

• Primarily 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

• Closed ICU model

• Coverage includes Medical/Surgical ICU and Neuro-Critical Care ICU

• Rotating coverage across Daytona Beach and Palm Coast facilities

• Collaborative team of 10 Critical Care physicians and 12 Advanced Practice Providers

• Strong support from hospitalists, neurology, neurosurgery, and subspecialty teams

Night Coverage:

All intensivists participate in shared in-house night coverage. With the addition of two physicians, night call is expected to rotate approximately one week every six work cycles (about every 12 calendar weeks).

• 18-bed closed Medical/Surgical ICU

• 10-bed closed Medical/Surgical ICU in a new state-of-the-art hospital

You will join a supportive and collegial cross-coverage team within an established Critical Care program.

Job Requirements:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine

• Neuro-Critical Care board eligibility or certification preferred

• Active Florida medical license (or ability to obtain)

• DEA license (or ability to obtain)

• Strong communication and team collaboration skills
