Perfusionist

Talent Consultants is excited to welcome a proficient Perfusionist to our esteemed surgical team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during cardiac and vascular surgeries, ensuring the optimal perfusion and support of patients' cardiovascular systems. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining hemodynamic stability and safeguarding patient outcomes throughout surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform perfusion techniques during a variety of cardiovascular surgical procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) and valve replacement surgeries.
• Monitor patients’ physiological status and manage physiological parameters during surgery.
• Operate and maintain perfusion equipment, ensuring its reliability and proper functioning throughout surgical procedures.
• Administer medications, blood products, and fluids as necessary according to established protocols.
• Collaborate closely with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthesiologists, to develop and implement patient-specific perfusion strategies.
• Participate in the development of perfusion protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate and provide guidance to surgical staff on perfusion practices and techniques.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Perfusion Technology or an equivalent field.
• Certification by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP) or equivalent is required.
• Current and valid certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Perfusionist in a clinical setting is preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical procedures, and perfusion techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with advancements in perfusion technology.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as necessary.
