Assistant Dispatch Manager
Pay: $83,054-$100,752 Annual Salary
Assistant Dispatch Manager in Doral, Miami-Dade County Florida, salary range from $83,054-$100,752 requires at least 24 months prior work experience in logistics or dispatching, plus high school/GED degree and 1 month of training in logistics and concrete management technology.
Work onsite , except two week-long trips each year to employer's facility in Chicago, Illinois for training.
1. Coordinate and control assignment and movement of concrete and other construction and building resources, including coordination with delivery and mixing trucks.
2. Assist dispatch manager with training other dispatch and customer service representatives.
3. Prepare work schedules and assign workloads with drivers, manage driver vacations, ensure that drivers' hours comply with rules of Department of Transportation and other laws.
4. Attend meetings required by supervisor.
5. Supervise dispatch and customer service staff when dispatch manager is absent.
6. Answer phones to take or update customer orders.
7. Communicate company policies to customers.
8. Communicate customer orders to other parts of the company to ensure availability of materials.
9. Monitor, troubleshoot and discuss delivery problems with drivers, co-workers, managers and supervisors.
10. Assist dispatch manager to coordinate family-friendly "touch-a-truck" events, parades, driver meetings and lunches.
Special skills: computer skills (including industry-related programs); ability to understand maps, road instructions, and regulations; ability to understand basic automotive and trucking mechanics.
