Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our housekeeping team in delivering exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in cleaning and custodial services, and a passion for maintaining high standards within a hospitality environment. As Housekeeping Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations, ensure adherence to safety and sanitation protocols, and foster a positive team atmosphere that promotes efficiency and excellence.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor performance to maintain optimal staffing levels and service quality.
- Conduct regular inspections of rooms and facilities to verify cleanliness standards, safety compliance, and maintenance needs.
- Train staff on proper cleaning techniques, use of cleaning equipment, floor care procedures, and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment to ensure cost-effective usage while maintaining high standards.
- Implement industrial cleaning procedures for specialized areas requiring advanced janitorial skills or equipment.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the housekeeping department.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards related to hospitality cleaning practices.
Experience
- Proven experience in housekeeping management within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Extensive background in cleaning, floor care, janitorial services, or custodial work.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment used in large-scale or commercial environments.
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards related to cleanliness, safety, and guest service.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a housekeeping or custodial role is required.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
