Assignment Overview

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside is seeking two highly experienced CVICU Registered Nurses to join their high-acuity Critical Care Unit (CCU). This 30-bed unit manages some of the most complex cardiac and surgical patients in the region. This requisition is open to fill vacant permanent positions and requires a nurse who can manage advanced mechanical and hemodynamic support systems independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Post-Surgical Care: Manage high-acuity recoveries for Open Heart and TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) patients.
• Advanced Life Support: Monitor and manage patients requiring CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) and Impella ventricular support systems.
• Hemodynamic Monitoring: Perform advanced hemodynamic monitoring and rapid titration of critical care drips.
• Complex Case Management: Provide care for neurosurgery patients, septic shock, DKA, pacemakers, and chest tubes.

Facility & Unit Details

• Unit Size: 30-bed high-acuity ICU.
• Critical Order: This is a Priority 2 Openings.
• On-Call: No on-call requirements.

Requirements

Experience:

• CVICU Specialty: Direct experience in a Cardiovascular ICU is required .
• Traveler Status: A minimum of one (1) year of previous travel experience is required .
• Clinical Skills: Must be proficient in CRRT, Impella, and advanced drip titration.

Licensure & Certifications:

• RN License: Active and unrestricted Florida (FL) or Compact RN license.
• Required Certifications:
  • AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
