Electrical Estimator

Requirements

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of electrical estimating experience
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and specifications
• Strong computer skills, including: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, ConEst Estimating Software
• Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work independently with limited supervision
• Excellent communication skills with internal teams and external clients
• Proven experience with education sector large commercial and industrial projects is preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating process for large-scale commercial and industrial projects with electrical scopes up to $10,000,000
• Develop complete and accurate takeoffs from project plans and specifications
• Prepare detailed and professional bid proposals
• Clarify bid documents and prepare Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Conduct post-bid follow-up, negotiate scope and pricing, and provide value engineering or scope modifications as needed
• Work with vendors to obtain multiple competitive material quotes
• Collaborate closely with the construction team throughout project execution
• Create, manage, and track change orders
• Maintain well-organized and accurate bid documentation
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while ensuring accuracy and quality
